Friends,
As we stand at the threshold of opening our new facility, 1 Chronicles 28 was my (Steve’s) appointed text for the day in my daily Bible reading. All of it was timely. Particularly, David’s instruction to Solomon to be strong and courageous, to not be afraid or dismayed for the Lord will do it (bring to completion the construction of the Temple in Jerusalem).
There was much that could have been fear-inducing these past few years – from the almost complete loss of our buildings to the scope, time, and financial resources necessary to both build and rebuild our campus – not to mention my (Steve’s) sickness this past spring, and the global pandemic we all still face.
But, the Lord is faithful. He has, is, and will bring to completion His extraordinary work in our corporate and individual lives. And we trust that the transformation we see externally with our eyes will also take place inwardly in our hearts and minds.
We hope you know our deep gratitude – especially for those of you who have stood with us these past two-and-a-half years. And we hope you share too, in our deep sense of satisfaction as you see what the Lord has done in and through you and others in our congregation. What an amazing congregation we have!
Lastly, we are delighted to tell you that we are anticipating our first services in our new Sanctuary to be on Sunday, 11 October. The Lord willing, we will have services at 9.00 am, 10.45 am, and 6.00 pm. More information will follow in the days ahead as to the particulars. But for now, rejoice at all that the Lord has done for us!
With much love in Christ
Steve & Jacqui
